North Carolinaaaa..

Come on and raise up… LOL

We went to Carolina Beach, NC, with the girls for Spring Break.

It was a much needed vacation!! I have been super stressed out lately, so it was nice to get away and not do anything, but relax. We left on Sunday morning after the kids got their Easter baskets. We got to the beach around 7:00pm. It was a long drive, but wasn’t terrible. It was freezing when we got there, though.

The first day we were there, it was too cold to go to the beach, so we did some sightseeing. We went to The Museum of the Bizarre and saw some super creepy things and did a mirror maze.

Afterwards, we went to The Shuckin’ Shack and got oysters for Donald.

It ended up warming up a bit, so we went down to the beach and hung out for a bit.

When we were leaving, we saw this awesome mural and had a little photoshoot in front of it.

We saw a cute little diner on our way back to the hotel, so we decided to stop there for dinner. It was a total fail!! The food was terrible and overpriced, and the service was even worse. But it was totally worth the experience.

The next day was the first beach day. It was about 75 degrees, but kind of windy, so it was still a little chilly. The water was freezing!!! Way too cold to swim. But still a pretty successful day.

We ended up going to Jack Mackerel’s for dinner on Kure Beach, and then walked the pier.

Wednesday was almost perfect. It was around 80 degrees and hot!! We hung out at the beach for about two hours. We would’ve stayed longer, but the parking meter wouldn’t let us re-up after our time ran out. When we left we stopped at the Celtic Creamery and got some ice cream.

Then we went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We all got dressed up and went to The Lazy Pirate.

After dinner, we went back to Kure Beach so we could take pictures. They turned out so good. The lighting was perfect, and the weather was just right!!

When we were finished, we went back to the hotel and packed our bags up to leave!! We left early Thursday morning. It took about 12 hours to get home (with stops)!! We’re so glad to be home, though!! It’s nice to get away, but always nice to be back in your own bed!! All-in-all, it was a great trip!!
