Happy Sunday..

Once again, it’s Sunday.

Sun·day

  1. the day of the week before Monday and following Saturday, observed by Christians as a day of rest and religious worship and (together with Saturday) forming part of the weekend.

Sundays are usually meant for rest, relaxation, and recovery.. and football!! It’s also a day used to prepare for the new week ahead. Our Sundays usually vary between relaxing and busy. We spent the first half of the day relaxing and not doing much of anything. Donald watched some Game of Thrones, and I worked on some scenes for our stream and finished the crate for my Mason jars.

**Side note… Donald and I worked really hard making the crate (DIY post coming soon). We measured and re-measured, and measured some more, to make sure the dimensions were perfect. We put it all together, painted it, let it dry, sanded it, and sealed it. It’s been a work in progress for days. Literal days. I brought it inside today after letting the last layer of sealant dry.. and it’s too small!!! I’m so bummed.**

We went and got lunch/dinner at Taco Bell, and when we got home, my mom texted me and asked if we could come help them move some things (remember, they just moved into a new house). So, off we went. Donald and my stepdad loaded up the trailer with a bunch of random stuff and then had to go to the storage unit. My mom and I just tagged along for the ride. While we were there, I grabbed a few smaller Mason jars to see if maybe they’ll look better in the crate. We shall see.

We’ll probably finish out the night watching some more Game of Thrones and playing some Warzone or Black Ops IIII. ((We’re basically just skipping through the series, watching our favorite episodes)).

I’m not going to work on my Mason jars and crate any more tonight; I’m still kind of irritated about the whole situation. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope you are all having an amazing Sunday, and are ready for the brand new upcoming week!! Get some rest tonight, and wake up ready to take on the world tomorrow!!

How do you usually spend your Sundays?

Do you watch football? What is your favorite team?

Have you ever seen Game of Thrones? What do you think of it?

Do you believe Sundays are for rest and relaxation? Or more for getting everything caught up from the previous week?

  1. I’ve been working two jobs for the past 8 weeks – today was the first “free’ Sunday in a while. I’d planned on catching up on all the things that have Needed Doing for the past two months…but I napped instead. Napped, washed my daughter’s car, did a little shopping, and tried my hand at mixed media art (I got more paint on myself than the canvas). Sundays should be for family, football and fun, but we (adults/women/wives/mothers/daughters) have a hard time with that. I liked GOT but only made it through season 3. As far as football goes – my husband is from Chicago, so he has us rooting for the Bears…

    1. Sometimes naps are much needed!!! I used to work two jobs, and worked 7 days a week. It was rough. So I always snuck naps in when I could. What is mixed media art? Sounds exciting. You should really finish watching GOT. It gets so much better after season 3. Good luck to your Bears this year!! I’m a Steelers fan and Donald is a Packers fan!!

  2. I’m currently working Sundays. “Ain’t no rest for the wicked”. I live in England so, what we call football is what you would refer to as ‘soccer’. I am a Chelsea supporter in that regard. Although, based on our performances so far this season, I think I will forget about it until after Xmas 😂😂. Personally, a big fan of G.O.T’s that is why I have 3 tats as my personal homage (stag, direwolf and Kracken) I need to eventually finish that off with a lion, a bear and a dragon. I thought that it was good, the last season was a huge disappointment though.
I think Sundays are good for both 😁. Looking forward to reading your crate D.I.Y post!
