My Weekend in Pictures..

So, this weekend was actually pretty decent. We actually got out of the house, put our phones away (except to take pictures), and lived in the moment.

Saturday we had plans to get up early and go yard saling, but it ended up raining, so we got a late start. We found a few, though. Unfortunately, we didn’t find any treasures, but it was still fun, regardless.

While we were driving to the next city over, we decided to stop and try a local dairy-bar type place for lunch.

None of us had ever been there before, but my parents had told us that they have the best burgers around.

Kind of hard to see the menu. I know. Donald and I got the “twin burger”, Haylie got a pulled pork sandwich, and Kendall got the chicken sandwich. We, of course, got a bunch of appetizers, too!!

After we ate, Kendall decided that she wanted some ice cream, and while we were at the counter, I noticed these cookies…. Terrible.

As we were leaving, we decided it was too late in the day to keep looking for more yard sales, so we headed home. I love driving down backroads. The area that we live in is so diverse. You can be in the center of the city and go two streets over and be on a rural dirt road.

On our way home, we decided to stop by my parents’ house for a surprise visit. It really is so nice having them a few blocks away, instead of 40 minutes away.

Us girls hung out inside, while the boys stayed outside.

One of my cats recently had kittens, and we finally got rid of the last one, so when we got home, I moved all of the furniture out of our front room and mopped. Kittens are so messy.

And.. of course we played (and streamed) some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

We all ended up getting hungry around 9:30pm, so we GrubHubbed some Applebee’s.

Our “plan” was to end the night watching the new Haunting of Bly Manor, but, as you know, you can’t watch a scary movie with all the lights on, so we were gonna start watching Vampires vs The Bronx while we ate, and then switch to the other when we were finished. That’s definitely not what happened. We ended up finishing Vampires vs The Bronx. 🤦‍♀️ It’s such a cheesy movie. You should definitely watch it!!

Sunday was kind of a lazy day, which are much needed sometimes. We didn’t really do much. The neighbor across the street was having a yard sale, so I walked over there. Again, no treasures.

It rained most of the day. I thoroughly enjoy rainy days, especially if there is thunder and lightning. We sat outside for a good part of the day, just talking and watching the rain.

I literally feel like I woke up and all of a sudden it was 5pm. I have no idea where the day went. I only realized it was so late because the girls kept saying they were hungry. They wanted to go to IHOP, but we weren’t really in the mood for it, so we agreed on Bob Evans.

So, off we went!!

I love breakfast foods. I could only eat breakfast for the rest of my life and be happy!!

This picture doesn’t make the food look appetizing, but trust me, it was so good. They have one of the best sausage gravies I’ve ever eaten.

We took the long way home, and drove past one of the bridges that leads to Ohio. It’s beautiful at night. Hard to get a picture while driving, but I did my best. 🤷‍♀️

Since I never actually get dressed or do my hair/makeup, I had to document it!!

I’m honestly not even sure what we did after we got home. I think we may have played some COD.. but I can’t remember for sure.

All-in-all, it was a good weekend. I love spending time with my little family, without electronics! It doesn’t happen nearly enough.
