Favorite movies…

What are your top ten favorite movies?

Shew.. this one’s a bit tough. There are so many good movies out there. I have about 300 DVDs, but they’re in storage, so I had to sit and think, rather than walk over and open a drawer to look.

I made a list of movies I really liked today at work. Asked a few coworkers theirs, just to see if maybe I missed some.

As I was researching, I honestly couldn’t believe how old some of the movies were. Twilight came out 15 years ago??? I’m sorry, what?? How??

I don’t think I can necessarily rank my “top ten” favorite movies, but I will list ten movies that I love.

* The Breakfast Club

* Inglorious Basterds

* Enemy at the Gates

* 8 Mile

* End of Watch

* 300

* Push

* Girl, Interrupted

* Brave, Tangled, Little Mermaid.. all my fave Disney movies go here

andddd

* Gamer

((Remember, these are in no particular order))

Runner ups…

* Avatar

* Welcome to the Dollhouse

* Death Race

* Felon

* The Dark Knight

* How to Train Your Dragon trilogy

* and anything with Denzel in it

I love movies. Like, literally LOVE movies, so choosing just ten was hard. While I love watching movies, I do prefer to watch them in the comfort of my own home, though. That pause button comes in clutch when I gotta run to the bathroom or grab a drink.

We went and watched Barbie a few weeks ago in the theater. I was extremely disappointed. I was ready to leave after like 20 minutes. But we got over it, and sat through the whole thing. I’m not gonna say anything about the movie, but my opinion is.. it isn’t worth your time and money.

Anywayyyyy… this is my favorite movies list. What’s your favorite movie??

    1. So.. I’m not much for old, old movies, like pre 1980ish. The Rat Pack movies ARE some of my faves, though. And to be completely honest, I’ll choose an animated/cartoon movie over anything, presented the choice. But I definitely agree with horror. Horror/Suspense is probably my favorite genre. Freddy is my fave. And I love the Paranormal Activity movies and Blair Witch!!

      1. LOL-I like Horror because it makes me laugh. No, I am not insane, it’s just that in horror they do the exact opposite of what normally sane people would do. I don’t like slasher flicks so much, simply because they don’t usually have a story to them. St. Elmo’s and 16 candles are my two faves of the Brat Pack movies. I love animated too. Heck. I like nearly all genres (except slasher flicks-of which there are exceptions, ie The Freddy franchise and I spit on your grave). My most favorite job was when I worked at Blockbusters and I could get as many movies as I wanted for free, it was nice.

  1. What a great list. I would have to personally disagree with Inglorious Basterds though. Just wasn’t my cup o’ tea. American beauty was one of my all time faves growing up. Breakfast club too. I don’t think I have been excited to watch a film lately in many years. It doesn’t surprise me that you were disappointed by the Barbie movie. All that seems to be shown through new films is political ideologies and certain way of thinking. Such is the reason why you have people like Henry Cavill leaving ‘The Witcher’. The sad truth about it is that people aren’t buying into it but they still trying to push it on you. Sorry I’m ranting. Was a great list 😊
