An open letter to my exes.

Hey!! How are you? I hope you’re doing well!! I mean that, wholeheartedly!! I really hope you’re all thriving!! It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything about you on social media, but the last time I saw, you were doing great!! Some of you are engaged, some of you are already married, and some of you are having babies!! I’m so happy for you all!!

Really, I just wanted to take a minute to thank each one of you.

Thank you for not believing in me. Thank you for faking whole relationships. Thank you for making me feel like I was never good enough. Thank you for all the lies. Thank you for cheating on me. Thank you for only seeing my flaws. Thank you for treating me like I didn’t exist. Thank you for using me. Thank you for loving me when it was only convenient for you. Thank you for the mental and physical abuse. Thank you for making me question and doubt myself. Thank you for ghosting me when I needed someone the most. Thank you for causing so much pain that I didn’t think I could go on. Thank you for showing me what love wasn’t.

Life, for me, has been great lately. I’M GETTING MARRIED!!! Can you believe it?! I finally found a guy that is the complete opposite of you. He believes in me like no other. He treats me like gold. He doesn’t even see my flaws. He loves me all the time (even when I don’t love myself, or I’m not being very worthy of his love). He never fails to make me feel wanted. He’s always reassuring me that I am worth it. He constantly reminds me that I am the best thing that has ever happened to him. He loves my children. He loves my parents. He loves my cats. He loves me for me. All of me. He even loves me on my bad days, and lord knows there are a lot of them. He is the epitome of love. I couldn’t have gotten any luckier!!

Anyway, enough about me. Again, I hope you’re doing well, and thank you, again, for everything!! I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors!!
